I was the editor of Menik The Little Mammoth, a 40 page illustrated children’s book written by Yakutian writer Evdokiya “Ogdo” Irintseeva and illustrated by Uzbek-English illustrator Timur Akhmedjanov. Irintseeva’s fairy tale story was awarded a prize by Hertfordshire Press’ Art Director, Aleksandra Vlasova. Irintseeva dedicates her life to encouraging children’s creativity and works as an editor in Keskil, a children’s newspaper which is distributed across Russia’s Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
